Falconer Mille Fleure is a jacquard wall tapestry made in Belgium. Falconry was a popular form of hunting for nobles and royalty in medieval times and its prominence made it the subject of many tapestries. This piece features a young prince or nobleman at the sport, magnificently attired, with his armsman and hound at his side. The background is of the mille fleurs style typical of late 15th century medieval French tapestries.
