The original is in the Cluny Museum, Paris. In the Middle Ages, tapestries were almost exclusively intended for the lords, yet they sometimes pictured scenes from everyday life. The artist has set the tapestry against a flower dotted background and exalts the work on the vine. While the workers are busy around the vines, the elegant people enjoy tasting the juice of the first grapes. .
