This wall tapestry, Saqqarah Biege Part I is jacquard woven in Belgium. It represents the giving of sacrifices to the deceased Pharoh. The original artwork is displayed on the tomb of Ptahotep (or Ptah-hotep) in Sakkarah. It dates from the Ancient Empire of Egypt 2650-2150 before Christ. Saqqara (or Sakkara, Saqqarah, Sakkarah) is a vast, ancient burial ground in Egypt, featuring the world's oldest standing step pyramid.
