This is a Jules Pansu French tapestry. This is a traditional "verdure" inspired by an 18th century Aubusson cartoon, rich in color and enhanced by a border decorated with flowers and "rocailles". In the 18th century, these intense and colored verdures adorned the homes of less affluent collectors who could not afford more refined tapestries owned by the grand courtiers.
