Alphonse Mucha is best known for his contribution to the "Art Nouveau" era during the late 19th century. Born in the Czech Republic and later residing in France, Mucha's designs were considered a new movement for European art. With his colorful, sensuous, and figurative designs, Mucha became a sensation at the age of only 34.
